HubZone/ Opportunity Zone

We are located within an HUBZone/Opportunity Zone as designated by the federal government (Census Tract: 24510120500; Neighborhood: Greenmount West/Charles North) in Baltimore, Maryland. HUBZones are 'historically under-utilized business zone’ formed to create incentives for the U.S. federal government to do contracting with businesses that operate and create jobs in communities with statistically proven economic needs. Similarly, Opportunity Zones are state-designated and designed to spur economic growth and job creation in low-income communities. SAHARA is an integral part of the Station North Arts & Entertainment (SNAE) District, which spans the neighborhoods of Charles North, Greenmount West, and Barclay. Station North is a diverse collection of artist live-work spaces, galleries, rowhomes/brownstones, and businesses -- all just steps away from Penn Station, Mount Vernon, Charles Village, the Maryland Institute College of Art, the University of Baltimore, and Johns Hopkins University.
